Paper Mache' Deer

Good morning all.

I wanted to share some pictures of a Deer I've been working on. I'm still not finished with it so please bare with me.

Just to let you know, these are the steps I used from "start to finish".

First:

I used 20 gauge wire and bent into the shape that I wanted then started wrapping it in foil.




Then, after I was happy with the shape I cut up newspaper into strip that I dipped into the glue, water and flour mixture. Then started building the deer with each strip.













Oh and I wish I could say I'm done but I'm not even close. Still have to sand again, painted just to name a few.

I'll post more pictures as soon as I'm finished.

A blast on 4th of July

Wow, I had some 4th of July!
Really a Blast!
I didn't get home until late that night or should I say all most 2:00 a.m. in the Morning.

I hit a board in the road with nails sticking out of it.
It was either, hit the board or hit a car.
So after that my New tire was going flat fast on the way up to see my daughter and son.
By the time I got to my daughters house the tire was Flat.
Thank goodness my son was there and He said Mom let me fix that for you.
He was a real sweetie for fixing my tire!

So tomorrow, I'll take my tire back to the tire shop to get it fixed again.

I went and seen Daddy (JOE). He was in a good mood and even wanted to wear the hearing aides I bought him. I was grateful, because I didn't have to scream.

Daddy then started telling stories about the good old days... He said one time, Uncle David and him went to New Mexico for the weekend.
He said that Uncle David got a ticket for going 50 miles an hour in and 30 mile zone.
Then he said this town knows how to make money..lol
Daddy told Uncle David he would pay for the ticket or at least half.
Then Uncle David replied, They'll play thunder if they think I'm going to pay this ticket. lol
Thats too funny! Thunder!!rofl We both laugh..

After the fireworks show was all over I left and headed for home... I was about 40 miles from my daughters house when my cell phone goes dead!
What a nightmare that was.
I pulled over on the side of the road to see what was the matter with it.
Then the silly thing got stuck on the number four. By this time I'm thinking what in the world am I going to do, if something else goes wrong?

Then I tried to get the battery out of it and and all most broke the back. Then in my rear view mirror, I seen Red and blue lights!
I kept telling myself, "What did I do wrong"?
After all I don't think there is a law about pulling over on the side of the road that I don't know about, but I could be wrong.
Then I was thinking, okay it's like 1:10 in the morning and I'm stil about 45 to 50 miles from home, and What if this isn't really a cop? What will I do?

I have no way to call anyone and tell them what was going on because my silly cell phone is still stuck on the number 4.
Then, all the sudden another car pulled over to the side of the road and the cop pulled up behind them.

When I got home the phone was ringing off thewall... My daughter had been calling and was worried sick !
Thank goodness the night was over and even after eveything was said and done.
I had a AWESOME TIME with my Children! It was worth every minute!

Dog bites and Cops bite back

All you know My daughter Jala
Well Julia (My other daughter) phone me yesterday and said Jalas dog had bitten someone.

Jala dog is a Boston Terrier mix, and weights about 18 pounds.

The dog bit a lady on the foot as she was riding by on her bike. The lady then fell on the ground. and the cops were called.
The cops told Jala that they were going to put her dog to sleep or that she could do it. Of course Jala is and was very upset.

Jala will get a fine but not sure how much it will be at this time.

Then the cops told Jala that she would have to pay for any Medical bills and pain suffering that the lady had incurred.

Oh and Jala got smart with the Cop, Then the Cop said he was going to take her to Jail and call CPS.
Jala told the cops, that Her dog wasn't the only dog out of the fence and it's not the only dog that has bitten someone. As a matter the fact just this week, Julia was riding her bike and had to fight off three dogs.


As luck would have it, This isn't the first time her dog has got out of the fence and bitten someone. It's happen three times before.

I told Julia, I would be very upset if a dog had bitten me. But I do feel sorry for Jala.
She loves her dog.
And is going ask the cops if she could give him away to someone else in another town. Or to someone in the country.


So I guess it's a good thing she not going to be home today.

I Love Dogs but I'm kinda glad I don't have a dog because of stuff like this.

I'm going to my daughters (Julia) house this morning. It's sure to be a blast. We're going to take in some swimming after lunch, then eat BBQ for supper. Last but not the least is, My daughters husband is going to put on a Fireworks show.
Oh and I all most forgot, My son(Joshua)is going to be there as well.
I'll also get to see Daddy Joe.
It's going to be a ball.

My other daughter (Jala) went to Ft. Worth Tx to be with her in laws for the 4th.

Pretty in purple

I wanted to share a picture of a doll I finished last night.
She is tiny, only 5 inches tall of the stand and on the stand she is 6 inches tall. Her body is made of muslin and her head is made of paper clay.
I think she is just too cute!
