With each doll I make brings a new sense of life, all most like someone has filled my glass to the rim. I'm very optimistic and always have been.. I believe in the possibilities of life, anything can happen.
I was up for something different and out side of my box. I've been working my fingers to the bone to finish Ms. Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth that is. She is Not the same old Americana stuff that I have been doing off and on for the last 6 years. Kinda nice for a change.
I have a feeling after I list my Queen Elizabeth doll on ebay you might see alot of doll makers making them(thats how things work there). Queen Elizabeth is kinda like the first Queen Anne doll I made for ebay.
At first,I was the only one making "Queen Anne dolls" on ebay and now Queen Anne dolls are everywhere..
Just as "T" of Dolls of Yore was the only one to make Izannah Walker Dolls and now there a dime a dozen.
By the way if you haven't seen her dolls then your missing out.
I hope to be able to share pictures of my Queen Elizabeth doll with all of you sometime today.

- Mae Hoover was born in Texas and traveled the world by being an Army Brat. As a Child she didn't have a lot of dolls, most were left behind in her many moves. Mae has had great deal curiosity in the mechanics of doll making and clothes. When she was just 11 years old, she asked her Mother for an old Sheet. Her mother was resistance but gave her the sheet anyway. Mae cut and Hand stitched her first Halloween Dress without a pattern. She has been hooked ever since. She never using molds when working with the Clay. She only works with the gifts that have been given to her by God. Always made with "a Wing and a Prayer". It's Simply because she hit a truck loaded down with cows, hit her head and woke to see cows with wings.. She had a second chance at life.. God is Good!
